How do I wind my watch?
Swipe the crown on the right side of the watch. Each click adds power. On Apple Watch, turn the Digital Crown. Automatic watches also wind themselves from your movement and steps.
Why did my watch stop?
Like a real mechanical watch, it ran out of power. Wind it and it starts again. With Purist mode on, it keeps the wrong time until you tap "Set time" and set it, just like the real thing. Turn on Run-down reminders in Settings to get a heads-up before it stops.
My automatic watch isn't winding from my steps.
Check Settings › Privacy & Security › Motion & Fitness and make sure Mecha Watch is allowed. Only the watch you're wearing gets step winding, just like a real watch on your wrist.
Is this an Apple Watch face?
No. Apple doesn't allow third-party watch faces. Mecha Watch is an Apple Watch app, plus complications you can add to your favourite watch face.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, then search for Mecha Watch.
I bought the Atelier but it's locked on a new device.
Open Settings in the app and tap "Restore purchase". The Atelier is also shared with your Family Sharing group.
How do I share a watch?
Open the watch, tap Share, and send the card or show the QR code. Your friend scans it with Mecha Watch ("Scan a shared watch") to build their own copy.
Does it drain my battery?
The app only redraws when something on the watch visibly changes, and it winds from steps your iPhone already counts. Widgets and complications are prepared in advance and stop refreshing once the watch has stopped.
